DEVIN SCONYERS - MTC TENNIS DIRECTOR

The Marin Tennis Club is pleased to present its teaching programs
under Tennis Director Devin Sconyers.

Devin Sconyers grew up in the East Bay and graduated from
University of Santa Barbara. Devin played tennis all four years at
UCSB and earned all-conference in both singles and doubles.
After moving back to the Bay Area in 1990, he worked as the
Director of Tennis at the San Francisco Tennis Club for twelve
years. While at SFTC he managed eight tennis pros, organized
and directed 18 USTA adult league teams and managed both the
member desk and pro shop. His recent time has been split
between being co-owner of Brad Gilbert’s Tennis Nation and as a
local teaching pro. Devin has been a USPTA Pro #1 since 1990
and was awarded the 1998 USPTA Pro of the Year for Northern
California. He is currently ranked #1 in the USTA NorCal Men's
45's Doubles.   

Joining Devin's team as resident pros are two outstanding bay
area teaching professionals, Geoff Martinez and Dave Allen.

Geoff Martinez is a former world ranked player in singles and
doubles. Main draw player in the 1980 U.S.Open and three time
National Champion. Currently ranked in the top 10 in the US Mens
50 singles and top 50 in the world Mens 50 singles. One of our
resident pros.

Dave Allen played on tour, appearing in over 20 countries
including French Open, US Open, Wimbledon, Italian Open, Stead
Motors, Sybase, Seascape Open. At UC Davis, Dave was Team
Captain and Athlete of the Year, and NCAA two time National
Team Champion, and a semi-finalist in both singles and doubles,
achieving the #1 National Ranking in singles and doubles. Dave
has worked in the bay area for 15 years.
