MTC, a member-owned tennis club, provides players of all abilities and demographics the opportunity to enjoy competitive & social play and access to professional coaching on 12 superbly maintained lighted courts in a casual, collaborative & friendly environment. TENNIS COURTS
MTC is first and foremost a Tennis Club! The Club offers 12 superbly maintained courts, 11 which are Plexi-Cushioned and 11 which are LED lit for nighttime play. They are located in a sheltered, sunny location in the beautiful Dominican Area of San Rafael.
LOOKING FOR COMPETITIVE TENNIS?
There are an abundance of options:
- USTA LEAGUES – MTC enters over 50 teams annually across Adult Men’s and Women’s at 18+, 40+, 55+, 65+ and 70+, Mixed Doubles at 18+, 40+, and 55+, and Combo Leagues, and across levels from 3.0 to 4.5!
- MARIN and SONOMA/NAPA/MARIN WOMEN’S LEAGUES – Leagues run September thru March for Marin League, and thru May for SNM with a mid-winter break.
- PLAY TENNIS MARIN
- LADDERS MTC offers competitive ladders for both men and women.
Hit and Run Program
Saturday mornings we also hold the free doubles drilling clinic, “Hit & Run”. This clinic is very popular! These activities are a great way to become more visible at the club, and to find people to play with at your level. Please introduce yourself to the host when you arrive.
SOCIAL TENNIS
The Club offers many fun Social Tennis events through out the year. Among these are Calcutta, Sadie Hawkins, Clinics with our Pros and many more.
EVENTS
Throughout the year MTC runs a number of club events including: Super Bowl of Tennis, New Member Mixers, MTC Memorial Weekend Tournament, Calcutta, Olympics of Tennis, Club Doubles & Singles Championships, Sadie Hawkins, Valentines Day, Ping-Pong Tournament, Cinco de Mayo and annual Holiday Party.
FINDING TENNIS PARTNERS
Whenever you are at the club feel free to ask the office staff to introduce you to other members to help you network your way into the MTC life. There are email based “Play Groups” that schedule regular matches during each week. The Members Only portion of this site is also very helpful in locating individuals of your same level.
MEMBERS ONLY WEB SITE & PHONE APP
Court Reservations may be made or viewed via web site or phone app. Reservation reminders are provided via text or email. Sign-up for events and leagues are all done online.
TENNIS INSTRUCTION
MTC, as of September 1, 2022, introduced a brand new tennis department headed up by our new Tennis Director Anton Stryhas and Associate Pro Sam Wexman. For information on Tennis lesson and Clinics, email: tennisdirector@marintennisclub.com
Free Ball Machines
MTC offers members FREE access to 2 ball machines with remote controls. These are great way to groove a stroke, warm up or practices a specific skill learned from one of our Pro’s tennis clinics.
Dues and Pricing Information
At times there may be a wait list for membership to the Marin Tennis Club. Marin Tennis Club offers new memberships as existing memberships resign from the club.
Joining the wait list requires the completion of the Wait List Application and payment of a $500 non-refundable fee. This fee will be applied to your initiation fee at the time when a membership becomes available. Click here to submit a Wait List Application
