WELCOME TO MTC We want you to enjoy your experiences both on and off the court, and to play just as much tennis as you can. MTC is the best tennis club in Marin and we are proud to have you be part of the family! “DROP IN” SOCIAL TENNIS Sunday morning hosted drop in tennis from 9:30am – 12noon, is a great way to become more visible at the club, and to find people to play with at your level. Remember, drop in tennis is for all levels.  Please introduce yourself to the host when you arrive. FREAKIN’ FRIDAYS – more SOCIAL TENNIS Freakin’ Fridays are a must!  You arrive to play tennis, and a host helps you get onto the court with "like" level players. You get to meet lots of people this way, and there is food, wine & socializing afterwards.   EVENTS Throughout the year we run a number of club events including: Super Bowl of Tennis, New Member Mixer, MTC Grand Prix (open tournament), Calcutta, Olympics of Tennis, Club Doubles & Singles Championships, Sadie Hawkins and annual Holiday Party. LOOKING for MORE COMPETITIVE TENNIS? There are an abundance of options here and your GM will include updates on sign-up times etc for these leagues in his weekly email blasts. TWILIGHT TENNIS - Twilight tennis is another great way to play with many people, and it is very social. Season runs May through July. MARIN and SONOMA/NAPA/MARIN WOMENS LEAGUES - Leagues run September thru March for Marin League, and thru May for SNM with a mid-winter break. USTA LEAGUES - MTC enters around 40 teams annually across Adult, Senior, Super Senior, Mixed, Fifty Mixed and Combo Leagues, and every level from 3.0 to 5.0. FINDING TENNIS PARTNERS Whenever you are at the club feel free to ask the office staff to introduce you to other members to help you network your way into the MTC life. The USTA, Marin, and SNM websites can also be very useful resources if you are looking for members at a similar playing level. COACHING & CLINICS MTC has an exceptional “Academy” with our coaching team – Devin Sconyers, Dave Allen and Geoff Martinez. In addition to individual lessons, our pros will be running regular clinics and this will be a good place to meet fellow players. The pros also run a very full program of after school and summer camps for our younger members!!
